Kate Hamaji is a Research Analyst at the Center for Popular Democracy, where she contributes to research efforts pertaining to CPD's racial and economic justice agenda. Previously, she worked with the New York City Office of Financial Empowerment, where she coordinated programmatic and policy initiatives to build wealth in low-income communities. Kate has also worked with one of CPD's core partners, Make the Road New York, where she helped to connect under and unemployed immigrant New Yorkers to quality training programs and sustainable jobs. She holds a BA from the University of California at Los Angeles and an MPA from the NYU Wagner School of Public Service.
